The exercise of a fishing right can be transferred by lease from the holder of the fishing right (fishing rights holder) to other persons. You must notify the competent lower fishing authority of this.

If you are the owner of a fishing right and cannot or do not wish to exercise it yourself, you have the option of transferring the exercise of the fishing right in full to another person who is entitled to exercise the fishing right by concluding a fishing lease agreement.

You must accept the conclusion or amendment of a fishing lease agreement as the lessor (as the holder of the fishing right) and then notify the competent lower fishing authority.

• valid fishing license of the lessee, in the event that a natural person is the lessee

• Fishing lease in writing
• Minimum lease and renewal period 12 years
• Valid fishing license of the lessee (except quarterly fishing license)

Notification of the fishing lease or amendment within 14 days of its conclusion, including the necessary documents

Complaint period: two months

14-day period for notification after conclusion of the lease agreement or after agreed amendment

Appeal against the decision of the lower fishing authority.
