Guideline of the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation (TMUEN) for the granting of subsidies and equity payments for the avoidance or reduction of economic burdens caused by the wolf/lynx (Guideline Wolf/Lynx)
Here you can find information on the promotion of prevention measures for protection against wolf attacks on grazing animals.
The wolf/lynx funding guideline can be used to fund preventive measures to protect against wolf attacks on grazing animals. For example, you can receive financial support for the purchase of wolf-repellent fences or guard dogs.
The application documents can be found on the TLUBN homepage.
- De-minimis declaration (required only from applicants who are not active in primary agricultural production).
- Proof of livestock by copy of the current animal health insurance certificate
- Three comparative offers for the planned purchases (prevention material)
You will receive all further documents for the payment of the grant or for the proof of use with the notice of grant.
You can apply for prevention measures if the following requirements are met:
- if you keep your animals on a pasture in Thuringia within the grazing season
- if they are sheep, goats, farmed game and other farmed animal species (with a maximum height at withers of 112 cm when fully grown)
- if notifiable animals have been reported to the state's animal disease fund or according to the livestock traffic regulations
- if the preventive measure (value of the material) and the value of the protected property are in a reasonable ratio
Note: You may only start with the implementation of the measure (e.g. purchase of the material) after receipt of the approval notice.
After a positive review of your application, you will receive a grant notification. You can then purchase the prevention measures. The payment procedure and the form of the proof of use will be regulated in the notice of grant.
Beneficiaries and recipients may be companies active in primary agricultural production. Applicants operating outside primary agricultural production may receive grants as de minimis aid under Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013.
- Prevention measures and compensation for damage caused by wolves
- Prevention measures to protect against wolf attacks on grazing animals can be funded.
