Architektenkammer - Eintragung in die Interessentenliste als Mitgliedschaftsanwärter

As a student of architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture or urban planning, you can be entered on the list of prospective members of the Chamber of Architects as a candidate for membership if you have

• have passed the Bachelor's preliminary examination or an equivalent examination and
• have your residence or place of study in Thuringia.

As a prospective member, you are not a member of the Chamber of Architects. However, you are entitled to use the services of the Chamber of Architects and to participate in the work of the Chamber.

As a rule, you will need the following documents in particular:

• Proof of residence or place of university study in Thuringia.
• Proof of identity
• Proof of citizenship
• Proof of having passed the Bachelor's preliminary examination or an equivalent examination

As a rule, copies of all documents and certificates must be submitted. As a rule, translations of all documents and certificates in German, prepared by a publicly appointed or sworn interpreter or translator, must be submitted.

15 EUR for the procedure before the Registration Committee

You must apply in writing for entry in the list of interested parties.

The evaluation (equivalence / substantial differences) of a foreign Bachelor's preliminary examination in relation to a German reference qualification can only be considered within the framework of an entry procedure; the ThürAIKG does not provide for an independent recognition procedure with a final decision on the merits.

The Chamber of Architects decides on the application for registration as a candidate for membership within three months after receipt of the complete documents. In individual cases, the deadline may be extended once by up to one month if this is justified due to the specifics of the matter.

No deadlines need to be observed.

The recognition and qualification consulting offices of the network "Integration through Qualification" (IQ Network) will be happy to advise and accompany you before, during and after the recognition process.

Before filing an administrative court action against a decision of the registration committee at the Chamber of Architects, there is no need for a review in preliminary proceedings (opposition proceedings).
