A prerequisite for the granting of a license for insurance intermediaries or consultants is proof of the required expertise by successfully passing an examination before the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The examination consists of a written and a practical part.
The written part of the examination covers the following subject areas in particular:
- Insurance basics
- General conditions under social insurance law and the main features of state and company-sponsored pension schemes
- Legal fundamentals for insurance brokering and insurance consulting
For the practical part of the examination, the candidate can choose between the following two subject areas:
- Pension provision
- Property/asset insurance
