You need a traveling trade card for a traveling trade. You can have a temporary traveling trade license extended by the competent authority.

If you are active as a showman, "flying trader" or owner of a market stall, i.e. if you offer your services or goods at constantly changing locations, you are operating a traveling trade. To do this, you need a traveling trade license.

If you have a temporary traveling trade license, you can extend it at the competent authority.

If, as an EU citizen, you are only temporarily active across borders, you do not need a traveling trade card.

• Proof of liability insurance for showmen
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to authorities
• Extract from the central trade register GZR
• Tax clearance certificates from the tax office
• Business deregistration
• Extract from the register of cooperatives or extract from the commercial register
• Certificate in accordance with the Infection Protection Act (only if offering food for sale with the exception of fruit and vegetables)

The competent authority may request further documents in individual cases.

Usually 3 months.

• Travel trade activities always require a permit (travel trade license), which can be restricted in terms of content, issued with a time limit and subject to conditions.
• The period of validity can be extended retrospectively on application.

The responsible authorities are the independent cities, the large cities belonging to the district, as well as the authorities and independent municipalities in which the person concerned has their habitual residence or the company has or will have its registered office.
