As a company, institution, self-employed person or freelancer, report any changes in circumstances relevant to the contribution for the broadcasting contribution in the non-private sector. This could be, for example, the number of motor vehicles or employees subject to social insurance contributions.

As a company, institution, self-employed person or freelancer, you pay the broadcasting fee according to the number of business premises, employees subject to social insurance contributions, motor vehicles subject to contributions, hotel and guest rooms or rented vacation homes.

Please use the change form to notify us of any changes in the number of motor vehicles, employees subject to social insurance contributions, hotel and guest rooms or rented vacation homes. Notifications of changes to the number of employees or the chosen method of counting must be made once a year by March 31 of each year.

  • Proof of abatement for motor vehicles, hotel/guest rooms and/or vacation rentals.

• You are the owner of business premises, of non-private motor vehicles registered to you, the owner of hotel/guest rooms or of rented vacation apartments.
• A broadcasting contribution account already exists.

You can notify the ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandradio Contribution Service of contribution-relevant increases in writing by mail or by telephone. You must report contribution-relevant reductions in writing by mail with supporting documents.

In writing by mail:

• You open the PDF change form, fill it out, print it out and sign it.
• Then send it by mail to the contribution service.
• For dues-related reductions, also attach the appropriate supporting documentation.

By telephone:

• Call the Contribution Service telephone hotline and go through the document with a contact person.

• As a company, institution, self-employed person or freelancer, the broadcasting contribution is paid according to the number of business premises subject to contributions, employees subject to social insurance contributions, motor vehicles subject to contributions, hotel and guest rooms or rented vacation homes.
