The cab driver's license is issued for a maximum of five years and can be extended for up to five years at the holder's request.

The driving license for passenger transport (FzF) for cabs is issued for a maximum of five years and can be extended for up to five years at the request of the holder.

Please note: If the application is submitted after the expiry date of the FzF, an extension is no longer possible. A new FzF must be applied for.

• Official proof of place and date of birth (e.g. identity card or passport)
• Current registration certificate, if applicable
• EU/EEA driver's license
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority
• Current information from the driving aptitude register
• Proof of physical and mental aptitude
• Proof of fulfillment of the vision requirements
• Proof of resilience, orientation, concentration, attentiveness and responsiveness (if extended beyond the age of 60)

• Mental and physical aptitude
• fulfillment of the requirements for eyesight
• personal reliability
• after the age of 60, additional resilience, orientation, concentration, attentiveness and responsiveness

The fee is based on the scale of fees for road traffic measures (GebOSt).
