Fahrerlaubnis: Erweiterung um die Klasse T beantragen

With a category T driving license, colloquially known as a "large tractor driving license", you can drive more powerful vehicles in agriculture and forestry.

You can extend your driving license with the independent driving license category T.

With a category T driving license, colloquially known as a "large tractor driving license", you can drive the following vehicles with trailers:

• Tractors intended and used for agricultural or forestry purposes with a maximum design speed of 60 km/h (from 16 to 18 years: 40 km/h)
• self-propelled machinery and feed mixers intended and used for these purposes with a maximum design speed of 40 km/h

The category T license is issued for an unlimited period.

Driving license category T is a national category. It is only valid to a limited extent in other countries.

• Valid identity card or passport (with current registration certificate if applicable)
• Application for extension of the driving license
• a biometric photo in accordance with the passport regulations (size 45x35 mm)
• Eye test certificate (not older than two years)
• Proof of first aid training (if not already shown to the driving license authority)
• Valid driver's license
• If applicable, a copy of the file card from the last issuing authority (if different from the authority)
• Details of driving school

• You must have your normal place of residence in the Federal Republic of Germany.
• You must be at least 16 years old.

The fee is based on the scale of fees for road traffic measures (GebOSt). If the driver's license is sent directly to your home address, an additional shipping fee will be charged.

Your application to extend your driving license will expire if you have not passed the theory test within 12 months of receiving the test order or the practical test within 12 months of passing the theory test.
