§18 paragraph 1 of the GefStoffV

If an accident or malfunction or cases of illness or death related to hazardous substances have occurred in your company, you must report it to the competent authority.

You must notify the competent authority of an accident or malfunction during work with hazardous substances if there has been serious damage to the health of your employee(s). You must also report cases of illness and death if there is a concrete suspicion that they were caused by work with hazardous substances.

If applicable, risk assessment for the work area

There are no costs involved.

You must report an accident or malfunction to the responsible authority by mail or post:

• You submit your report.
• The competent authority checks your report.

Close to the event (immediately)

• Notification of accidents or operational malfunctions during activities with hazardous substances Receipt
• Accidents or operational disturbances must be reported to the competent authority
• Likewise, cases of illness or death must be reported
• If the notification was given to another authority, this notification can be uploaded
• Notification by mail or post
