§2 Paragraph 17 Sentence 3 of the GefStoffV

If you want to have your already acquired qualification recognized as expertise, you must prove the equivalence to the authority.

If you have already obtained a qualification comparable to the required expertise, for example a vocational training or further training, you can have this recognized as equivalent by the competent authority. You also have this option if you have acquired a corresponding qualification abroad.

Proof of existing qualification (contents of qualification, certificate)

• Qualified training comparable to the required expertise for the planned activities and uses.
• Evidence of the foreign qualification must be presented in the German language

Cost: variable from 200 to 1000 euros

You can submit an equivalence of recognition of expertise to the competent authority by mail or by post.

• You submit the required documents to the competent authority
• The competent authority checks your documents and gives you feedback.

Opposition

• Expertise according to the Ordinance on Hazardous Substances Recognition of an equivalent qualification.
• Required documents:
  • Proof of existing qualification (contents of qualification, certificate).
• Qualified training comparable to the required expertise for the planned activities and uses
• Notification by mail or post
