If data in the electoral roll is incorrect, an application for correction may be submitted to the municipal electoral authority.
The municipal electoral authority shall draw up an electoral roll for each electoral district before each election. It shall contain the surname and first name, date of birth and residential address of all persons entitled to vote.
All persons entitled to vote who are registered at the registration office for a sole dwelling or, in the case of several dwellings, for the main dwelling, in the electoral district on the 37th day before the election (qualifying date) shall be entered in the electoral roll ex officio.
Every person entitled to vote has the right to check the correctness or completeness of the data entered about him or her in the electoral roll on the working days from the 20th to the 16th day before the election during the general opening hours. In order to check the data of other persons entered in the electoral roll, persons entitled to vote shall only have the right to inspect the electoral roll if they substantiate facts from which an inaccuracy or incompleteness of the electoral roll may result.
The right to inspect the electoral roll shall not apply to the data of persons entitled to vote for whom a blocking notice pursuant to Section 51 (1) of the Federal Registration Act has been entered in the population register.
Anyone who considers the electoral roll to be incorrect or incomplete may submit an application for correction to the municipal electoral authority within the inspection period.
If applications are based on factual allegations that are not obvious, the applicants must provide the necessary evidence.
Eligibility to vote in accordance with § 4 of the State and Local Elections Act (LKWG M-V) for the respective local election.

Within the inspection period (20th to 16th day before the election during general opening hours), a request for correction may be submitted to the municipal election authority.
If a person is wrongly not registered in an electoral roll and it is no longer possible to add him/her to it, he/she shall receive a ballot paper upon application.
