You may have a legitimate interest in obtaining information from the register of owners of a business in an unlicensed craft or a craft-like trade. You can obtain this information from the relevant Chamber of Crafts.

The Register of Owners of a Business of an Admission-Free Craft or Craft-like Trade is a register of all owners of a standing trade in which admission-free craft or craft-like trade activities are carried out. It is kept by each chamber of commerce for its chamber of commerce district.

Information from the register can be provided upon request if you can prove a legitimate interest.

AnInformation from the Register of Skilled Crafts contains the following information about a company:

• Company details
• First name and surname of the registered owner/tradesman, or of the legal representative or of the company manager or of the personally liable partner responsible for the technical management of the company
• Type of registered craft
• Address of the commercial establishment.

Provided that no interest of the data subject worthy of protection speaks against it, the information will be made available to you. As the recipient of the information, however, you may only use this data for the purpose you specified when submitting the application.

• You submit an application to the responsible Chamber of Crafts for information from the register of owners of a business in an unlicensed craft or a craft-like trade. In your application, you name the business for which you want information and state your legitimate interest.
• After examining the legitimate interest, the Chamber of Crafts will provide the information.
• Provided that there is no interest worthy of protection of the person concerned against it, the information will be provided to you. However, you may only use this data for the purpose you specified when submitting your application.
