A new real trade license cannot be applied for. An existing one can be renewed upon application.
Real trade authorizations are the powers to carry on a trade associated with the ownership of a specific plot of land. New ones may not be established since 1869 (Section 10(2) GewO).
A real trade authorization that has not been exercised for three years expires. The period may be extended by the licensing authority if there is good cause.
