The external inspection serves to verify the plant operator's own inspection and the data and facts collected by him (dual control principle). The prerequisite for acting as an external inspector is his recognition and notification. External inspections can then be carried out in waste pre-treatment plants within the framework of the Commercial Waste Ordinance (GewAbfV).
For recognition - which entails notification - you must submit an application to the competent authority. The competent authority in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is the State Office for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Geology. The notification is published for the entire federal territory in the official gazette of the federal state in which you submit the application for notification.
You will be notified if you have the necessary expertise, independence, reliability and technical equipment.
As a notified body, you may carry out third-party inspections throughout Germany.
Certificates issued abroad will be recognized if they are equivalent in accordance with Section 11 (5) GewAbfV.
