You can avoid or minimize the risk of becoming ill through your behavior. The statutory health insurers offer services to help you do this.

• in questions of alcohol or tobacco consumption
• exercise
• mental well-being
• in questions of aging
• in general lifestyle issues

The health insurance funds also take into account the promotion of occupational health protection.

The health insurance fund may provide a behavioral prevention service if it is certified, i.e. quality-assured, by a health insurance fund or by a third party commissioned to perform this task on its behalf.

Some health insurance companies offer their own prevention courses. However, you can also choose a course with a quality-assured external provider. Ask your health insurance company about the procedure.
