The state-wide MV volunteer card is a thank you to all people who are involved in civic activities and thus make a major contribution to cohesion in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Together with the MV Volunteer Foundation, the state government has created an attractive offer to recognize the achievements of volunteers in the state. Many partners, including state-owned institutions and commercial enterprises from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, offer holders of the MV Volunteer Card discounts and a wide range of offers.
Applications for an MV volunteer card can be submitted by clubs, associations, organizations, institutions, local authorities and other public bodies as well as by the volunteers themselves. The card is valid for three years for all cardholders. An extension of the MV volunteer card is possible with a new application if the requirements are met. Also Volunteers who are active in churches, citizens' initiatives, learning sponsorships, as grandparents of choice, in school and daycare center parent councils, at climate camps, tree planting campaigns, etc. can also receive the MV volunteer card. The MV Volunteer Card can also be applied for at the end of a twelve-month period of voluntary service.
