Grants to ensure counseling on the risks and management of a sexually transmitted infection and education on preventive behaviors.

Counseling services, preventive measures, support of HIV self-help groups, outreach work.

Recipients of grants
Non-profit organizations providing counseling services for sexual health.

Type and scope, amount of grant
Project funding in the form of a non-repayable grant as partial financing, generally up to 40 percent of eligible expenses.

The application must be submitted to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs M-V by October 31 of the year preceding the period of the measure.

The funding serves to educate and counsel the general population on infection risks and preventive behavior in order to counteract or contain the further spread of HIV infection and to contribute to improving the situation of HIV-infected persons, AIDS patients, their relatives and friends.
Recipients of funding are independent non-profit organizations, provided that they are responsible for AIDS counseling centers.
