The purpose of the grant is to support LEADER, a local development program run by the local population.
What is supported?
Funding is available for:
- Projects to implement the strategy for local development (SLE) run by the local population,
- Preparatory services for cooperation projects,
- transnational and cross-regional cooperation projects selected within the framework of the SLE.
Who is eligible for funding?
- Natural persons and groups of persons
- legal entities under private law
- Legal entities under public law
How is funding provided?
The grants are awarded within the framework of project funding as partial funding in the form of a non-repayable subsidy.
The local action group proposes the funding rate and the maximum amount of funding on the basis of its local development strategy. The funding rate is up to 100 percent of the eligible expenditure.
The documents to be submitted with the grant application are specified in the application form. The approval authority may request the submission of further documents if this is necessary for the decision on the approval of a grant.
The project must serve to implement the local development strategy of the respective local action group.
The local action group must have decided to support the project from its budget.
The projects for implementing the local development strategy are selected by the local action group in accordance with a procedure defined and announced by it.
Applications for funding must be submitted to the responsible approval authority in the required form before the start of the respective project.
All complete applications for funding that meet the funding requirements will be approved in accordance with the project list submitted by the local action group and the final amount of funding will be determined.
The Local Action Group sets the deadline for the submission of project ideas in its local development strategy.
Grants are only awarded for projects that have not yet been started.
Grants for investments are only awarded if the amount of the grant is not less than EUR 2,500.00.
The earmarking period is five years.
All necessary forms are provided under Funding 2023-2027 - Government Portal M-V (regierung-mv.de). If required, the granting authorities will provide a paper copy of the forms.
An appeal may be lodged with the authority issuing the decision within one month of notification.
