Who is supported?
Natural persons who are not partners in partnerships or corporations and who wish to set up or expand a company in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
What is supported?
Business founders can receive interest-bearing loans to finance deductible operating expenses (investments and operating resources) before starting business activities and in the first 36 months after starting business activities in the context of a start-up or business succession.
The grants are used to establish and expand economically sustainable self-employed businesses.
How is funding provided?
Before and in the first 36 months after the start of business operations:
- Interest-bearing repayable installment loan of up to EUR 25,000 per business start-up in the event of a proven financing shortfall.
The term of the loan can be up to 6 years and is repayment-free for up to 12 months. The interest rate is fixed and amounts to 4 percent per year on the remaining debt for the entire term of the loan.
There is no legal entitlement to the granting of a loan.

A formal application must be submitted to the GSA - Gesellschaft für Struktur- und Arbeitsmarktentwicklung mbH.
Once all documents relevant to the grant have been submitted, the microloan is granted by means of a grant notification.
