Children and young people should be protected from neglect, abuse and violence in the best possible way. To this end, all key players in child protection, such as youth welfare offices, schools, health authorities, hospitals, doctors, pregnancy advice centers and the police should work together in a cooperation network.
The binding cooperation between the facilities and institutions should be organized by the local youth welfare office. The aim is to provide children and parents with suitable services as early as possible in order to sustainably improve their development prospects.
A fund from the BMFSFJ (Federal Foundation for Early Intervention) provides financial support for early intervention networks.
