In the event of a current threat to public safety from animals, either the police (110) or the Integrated Regional Control Centers (112) must be informed immediately. Otherwise, the responsible regulatory authority must be notified.
If animals (domestic or wild) are currently endangering public safety, especially people, other animals or traffic safety, you should immediately inform either the police by calling 110 or the Integrated Regional Control Centers by calling 112.
If necessary, these agencies will inform the responsible authorities or eliminate the danger themselves.
If a dog bite incident has occurred, if a dog has jumped at a person in a manner that threatens danger, or if a sudden breakaway has caused a hazard (e.g. in traffic), a report should be filed immediately with the responsible regulatory authority or with the police.

The notification or the communication of the facts can be made informally (in writing, by e-mail, verbally on record at the competent authority). If necessary, the competent regulatory authority will also provide notification forms.
