Each owner shall provide his property with the number determined by the municipality. The costs of house numbering may be imposed on the owners by the bylaws of the municipality.

The numbering of the properties serves the correct and safe finding of the desired destination for the citizen, the disaster control, the rescue service, for the postal delivery as well as the local assignment of the building for the resident registration certificate.
