The conversion of pilot licenses that were acquired in accordance with Section 1 LuftPersV in the version from 9 January 1976 to 30 April 2003 (PPL with Supplement A or PPL(A)-ICAO), as well as licenses for private pilots that could be acquired in accordance with Section 1 LuftPersV in the version from 1 May 2003 (PPL(A)-national) into a license in accordance with Part-FCL of Regulation 1178/2011, Part-SFCL of Implementing Regulation 2018/1976 and Part-SFCL of Implementing Regulation 2018/1976. as amended from 01 May 2003 (PPL(A)-national) into a license in accordance with Part-FCL of Regulation 1178/2011, Part-SFCL of Implementing Regulation 2018/1976 and Part-BFCL of Implementing Regulation 2018/395.
The requirements depend on the type of license to be converted and have been published in so-called conversion reports of the federal government.
Generally 14 days upon submission of all necessary documents.
At the time of publication, the conversion reports have not yet been published. As soon as these have been published as NfL, the license can be converted.
For holders of a license for the crews of gliders or balloons, light aircraft pilot license or private pilot license who have their main residence in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Employment is responsible as the supreme aviation authority.
