What is supported?

Financial assistance for nature conservation measures in the landscape. The aim is to protect and maintain man-made landscapes. In particular, typical parts of the landscape and rare habitats are to be preserved or newly created, such as hedges, orchards, avenues and small bodies of water. The planning of landscape conservation measures and public information are also eligible for funding.

Who is eligible for funding?

Recipients of funding are landscape conservation associations in which municipalities or municipal associations, farmers and non-profit associations that focus on promoting the goals of nature conservation and landscape conservation have equal rights.

How is funding provided?

Grants are only approved for projects that have not yet been started.

Application procedure

1. Applications must be submitted in writing to the responsible approval authority before the start of the respective project. Application forms must be used for this purpose.
2. The application must contain binding information on the financing and readiness for implementation of the project and the planned implementation period.
3. If it is intended to have the measure applied for carried out in full or in part by third parties, three cost estimates must be submitted together with the application.
4. Depending on the planned project, the approval authority may require the submission of further documents if this is necessary for the decision on the approval of the grant.
5. Applications can be submitted throughout the year. The selection is made from all applications received in full by the respective deadline (March 31 and August 31).

Approval and selection procedure

1. The granting authority is the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Forestry Office
2. All complete applications that meet the funding requirements are evaluated and ranked according to defined selection criteria. Depending on the ranking, approval will be granted at the discretion of the authorities within the scope of available budget funds.

Disbursement procedure

1. Payment of the approved grant must be requested from the granting authority. Disbursement forms must be used for this purpose. These are available from the granting authority.
2. The original invoices and payment receipts must be attached to the disbursement request.
3. Payment is made after completion and inspection of the measure and after checking the original invoices and payment receipts submitted. The granting authority may grant payments on account before the measure has been fully completed after checking the original and payment receipts submitted.
