The citizen can reset the PIN for using the electronic proof of identity:
- as often as desired at home
- if the PIN is forgotten or blocked by entering it incorrectly 3 times, then at the identity card authority
- German within the meaning of Article 116 (1) of the Basic Law (GG)
- registered in the municipality with main residence
