- General pregnancy counseling according to Section 1 of the Pregnancy Conflict Act: Every woman and every man has the right to be informed and counseled anonymously on request by a counseling center designated for this purpose (pregnancy and pregnancy conflict counseling centers) within the framework of general counseling in questions of sexual education, contraception and family planning as well as all questions directly or indirectly affecting a pregnancy (Section 1 Pregnancy Conflict Act).
- Pregnancy conflict counseling according to Section 2 of the Pregnancy Conflict Act: Pregnancy conflict counseling includes the necessary counseling according to Section 219 of the Criminal Code. It is to be conducted in an open-ended manner and is based on the responsibility of the woman. Pregnancy conflict counseling serves to protect unborn life.
- Confidential birth in accordance with Section 6 of the Pregnancy Conflict Act: A pregnant woman who has received counseling in accordance with Section 2 (4) and who does not wish to disclose her identity shall be informed that a confidential birth is possible.
- There is a right to counseling on sexual education, contraception and family planning.
- A distinction is made between general pregnancy counseling, which particularly includes information and offers of help, and pregnancy conflict counseling, which is related to abortions.
- For women in emergency situations there is e.g. the possibility of the confidentialbirth. Pregnancy counseling centers play a central role in this. They control and organize the entire procedure.
