• Approval: Trade license from the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) in accordance with Section 31 of the Trade Regulation Act
• Application for a permit in accordance with Section 28 a of the Weapons Act (permit for the acquisition, possession and carrying of firearms and ammunition by security companies and their personnel on seagoing vessels)
• Managing director: identity card or passport with confirmation of registration
• Employees: copy of identity card, copy of employment contract, for foreign employees also certificate of good conduct
• Proof of the existing firearms certificate of the managing director or the entrepreneur (not the trade law certificate of competence from the Chamber of Commerce) and his employees
• Proof of safe storage at the German company headquarters and on-board storage concept
