Manufacturers of certain structural systems must apply for a type test from the Stand Safety Testing Office.
If structural systems or parts of structural systems requiring testing are to be erected or used in the same design at several locations, the stability certificates must be tested by the responsible body (in accordance with the State Building Regulations for the State of Schleswig-Holstein - LBO).
The manufacturer of these structural systems must issue a test order for a type test to the competent body.
Type tests from other federal states also apply within the scope of the LBO.
Fees are charged in accordance with Section 31 (2) of the State Ordinance on Test Engineers for Structural Stability and Test Experts (PPVO).
The period of validity of a type test is limited and should not exceed five years. It can be extended on written application by the competent body that carried out the type test. The respective extension may not exceed five years.
