The targeted training and training of dogs to become dangerous dogs is prohibited. In Schleswig-Holstein, it is generally prohibited to train dangerous dogs with the aim of increasing their aggressiveness and dangerousness (in accordance with Section 3 of the Dogs Act (Hundegesetz - HundeG).
Exceptions to the ban on aggression training:
- the guarding trade is not subject to the ban on aggression training, provided that proper protection service training has been carried out by bodies or persons holding a permit in accordance with § 11 Para. 1 No. 6 of the Animal Protection Act - TierSchG (§ 34a Gewerbeordnung - GewO),
- the training of police protection dogs is exempt from the ban on aggression training in accordance with Section 18 of the Dogs Act.
The training of dogs is also prohibited in accordance with § 3 TierSchG. No exemption from the ban can be applied for.
