• food samples and specimens in small quantities,

may not be brought into the country. Their transit requires customs supervision.

The permit is subject to a fee. The fees are determined by the respective cost or fee schedule. Information on this can be obtained from the official veterinarian or the MELUR.

No deadlines need to be observed for the application itself.

When handling trade, for example the transportation of livestock, there may be official obligations to notify the partner veterinary authorities in other EU Member States, which the official veterinarian will provide information on.

Many trade and travel issues affecting livestock and pets are subject to constant changes due to changing animal disease situations worldwide, so it is recommended that you obtain detailed information from your local official veterinarian in advance.
