Chemikalien: Sachkundebescheinigung gemäß Chemikalien-Klimaschutzverordnung

Anyone wishing to install or maintain systems containing fluorinated greenhouse gases, for example, requires a certificate of competence.

If you install systems with fluorinated greenhouse gases, check them for leaks, service them, maintain them or recover the gases, you will need a new certificate of competence after July 4, 2009 so that you can continue to carry out your activities. This is provided for in the Chemicals Climate Protection Ordinance, which came into force on August 1, 2008 and is based on the European F-Gas Regulation.

This concerns the following activities:

• Activities on refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems and heat pumps,
• Activities on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases as solvents,
• Activities on fire protection systems and fire extinguishers,
• activities on high-voltage switchgear and
• work on air conditioning systems in motor vehicles.

In order to obtain a certificate of competence, you must pass a theoretical and practical examination.

Upon application, an exemption from the requirement for technical and manual training can be granted if the applicant can prove that they are comparably qualified.

In the following cases you must also:

• In the case of work on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems and heat pumps, have completed technical or vocational training relevant to the activity in question and passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Art. 5 Para. 1 of Regulation (EC) No. 303/2008.
• In the case of work on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases as solvents, have successfully completed technical or vocational training relevant to the activity in question and have passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Article 3(1) of Regulation (EC) No 306/2008.
• In the case of work on fire protection systems and fire extinguishers, have passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Art. 5 Para. 1 of Regulation (EC) No. 304/2008.
• In the case of work on high-voltage switchgear, have passed a theoretical and practical examination in accordance with Art. 4 Para. 1 of Regulation (EC) No. 305/2008.
• In the case of work on air conditioning systems in motor vehicles, have successfully participated in a training program in accordance with Art. 3 Para. 2 of Regulation (EC) No. 307/2008.

• To the responsible Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), Chamber of Crafts (HWK), guild or
• to the training and further training institutions, companies or businesses that are recognized by the competent authority as being entitled to take examinations and issue certificates of competence.
