The business of a craft requiring a license may initially be continued after the death of the owner.
If a business that is entered in the Register of Craftsmen with a craft requiring a license is continued or taken over after the death of the owner, the spouse, life partner, heir, executor of the will, estate administrator, estate insolvency administrator or estate administrator may continue the business without fulfilling the requirements for entry in the Register of Craftsmen.
They must ensure that a manager is appointed without delay.
In cases of hardship, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts may set a reasonable deadline if proper management of the business is guaranteed.
