Fahreignung: Anerkennung als Begutachtungsstelle für Fahreignung

Anyone wishing to operate an assessment center for driving fitness requires recognition.

If you want to operate an assessment center for driving fitness, you need to be recognized by the competent authority.

The prerequisite is that

• the financial and organizational capacity of the provider is guaranteed,
• staffing with a sufficient number of doctors and psychologists is ensured,
• an officially recognized expert or examiner for motor vehicle traffic is available in case of need,
• the necessary premises and equipment are available,
• the body is accredited by the Federal Highway Research Institute and
• the applicant is reliable.

Recognition may be subject to ancillary provisions, in particular conditions.

Requirements:

• To the doctor:
  Physician with at least two years of clinical practice (in particular internal medicine, psychiatry, neurology) or specialist, additionally with at least one year of practice in the assessment of the suitability of drivers in an assessment center for driving suitability.
• To the psychologist:
  Diploma or equivalent Master's degree in psychology, at least two years of practical professional experience (usually in clinical psychology, occupational psychology) and at least one year of practice in assessing the suitability of drivers in an assessment center for driving suitability.

All documents are required to prove that the above requirements have been met.

Fees in accordance with No. 214.1 Fee schedule for road traffic measures (GebOSt): 128.00 euros to 2,556.00 euros.

There are no deadlines to be observed.
