Hospitals with a wide range of services are available to care for the population of Schleswig-Holstein.
On the basis of its "Standard Program for Hospitals in Schleswig-Holstein" of February 2007, the state supports conversion and extension measures as well as new hospital buildings. The subsidized hospitals are included in the hospital plan. This applies to the vast majority of all hospitals.
