State ordinance on the prevention of threats to public safety from explosive ordnance (Explosive Ordinance)

Anyone who finds explosive ordnance on their property must report it immediately.

If you as a property owner find explosive ordnance on your property, you must report this immediately, otherwise you are acting in violation of the Ordinance on Explosive Ordnance of the State of Schleswig-Holstein and exposing yourself and others to a high level of danger.

Explosive ordnance includes all ammunition intended for warfare, in particular bombs, mines, grenades, explosives and detonators, but also self-laboratories and unconventional explosive and incendiary devices that are manufactured in connection with the commission of criminal offenses.

Explosive ordnance is often unrecognizable as such. Many are rusted beyond recognition or resemble commercially available objects in appearance.

The duty to report also applies to walkers who find ammunition.

The Explosive Ordnance Clearance Service (KMRD) of Schleswig-Holstein searches for, clears and destroys unexploded ordnance, explosive ordnance and unconventional explosive and incendiary devices (IEDs).
