If you carry out projects to develop measures to secure skilled workers, you can receive funding under certain conditions.

If you would like to carry out a project to secure skilled workers in Schleswig-Holstein, you can receive funding with the help of a non-repayable grant for project financing as part of the Schleswig-Holstein Skilled Workers Initiative (FI.SH).

Funding is available for projects to develop and test measures to secure skilled workers, particularly in the following areas

• Improving the matching of job supply and demand
• Recruitment of skilled workers in so-called shortage occupations
• Attracting skilled workers and employees from abroad
• Strengthening the development of skilled workers for a climate-neutral economy
• Regional skilled labor projects
• Skilled worker networks for industries

The funding is granted as pro rata financing with a maximum amount and does not have to be repaid.

The maximum amount of funding is 70 percent of expenditure.

Personnel expenses are granted according to the actual expenditure principle and a lump sum of 40 percent.

• Meaningful project description with
  • Description of the content and methods
  • Description of the objectives and the timeline and content of the project
  • Information on the staffing ratio, the qualifications of the staff deployed and the equipment
• Expenditure and financing plan
• Required audit result (differentiation from the services offered by the BA and other responsible bodies.
• Any cooperation agreements to be submitted

The following documents must be submitted in addition to the application:

1. for associations

• Extract from the register of associations
• Proof of the person(s) authorized to represent the association (board of directors or management)

2. in the case of de minimis aid already received

De minimis certificates for the last three tax years

• Headquarters in SchleswigHolstein as
  • corporation under public law
  • Regional authority
  • Professional chamber, chamber of crafts, guild, chamber of industry and commerce
  • Institution under public and private law
  • Economic development institution
  • State university and state-recognized private university
• Funding can be provided for projects that have not yet begun.
• Technical and administrative competence to carry out the project
• Appropriateness and necessity of the expenditure
• Secured overall financing, the own contribution must amount to at least 30 percent of the expenditure
• Existing advisory and service offers, initiatives, measures and projects of the Federal Employment Agency and other agencies must be checked before the application is submitted

Expenditure must not fall below a total of 50,000 euros

• You complete the application and attach all required documents.
• You submit the original application with a legally binding signature to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Labor, Technology and Tourism by post.
• You also submit the application as a PDF file by e-mail to fi.sh@wimi.landhs.de.
• Your documents will be checked and any missing documents will be requested.
• You will receive a notification of approval; you will be informed individually if your application is rejected.

An application can be submitted at any time.

Once the application has been received, the team will contact you after an initial review of the application regarding further processing. The processing time depends on the individual effort required to process the application.

Projects from which only a single company benefits are excluded from funding.

The documents to be submitted in the application and in the other documents are relevant to the subsidy. A declaration to this effect must be submitted as part of the application. The granting authority must be informed immediately of any changes to facts relevant to the subsidy. In the event of deliberate or reckless misrepresentation, prosecution for subsidy fraud must be expected.
