If your driver's license is about to expire or has expired, you will need to apply for a new license.

Card driving licenses issued as of 19.01.2013 have a validity of 15 years.

If the validity of the driver's license is about to expire or has expired, you must apply for a new driver's license unless you surrender the driver's license.

However, the time limit only affects the driver's license document, not the underlying driver's license.

• You must be the holder of a temporary card driver's license issued as of 19.01.2013.

Please remember to apply for your driver's license well in advance of its expiration date.
