If you want to implement a process innovation or an organizational innovation in your company in Schleswig-Holstein, you can receive funding under certain conditions.
If you are planning a process or organizational innovation in your company, your project may be eligible for funding.
For process and organizational innovation, you can apply for funding for suitable innovation consulting services as well as innovation support services provided by qualified external service companies. You can also apply for funding for the acquisition of the necessary instruments and equipment for process and organizational innovation.
Preference is given to projects that contribute to climate protection or adaptation to climate change (resource, material and energy efficiency, circular economy and CO2 reduction).

- You must be a company with its registered office or permanent establishment in Schleswig-Holstein.
- Priority is to be given to small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Your planned project must have a sufficiently high degree of innovation.
- The project should create new jobs in Schleswig-Holstein.
- At the end of the project, the project should contribute to increasing the turnover of your company.
- The overall financing of the project must be secured.
- The project will be carried out in Schleswig-Holstein and the knowledge gained will be utilized there.
Applications must be submitted to the WTSH prior to the start of a project and must be accompanied by verifiable documents that meet the requirements of the funding guidelines. The WTSH has provided the information, forms and digital access to the electronic application process required for the application and further processing on its website (www.wtsh.de).
It is recommended to have a consultation with the WTSH before submitting an application.
An application must be submitted before the start of the project and implementation may not begin without approval.
There is no legal entitlement to funding. Instead, applications are checked for eligibility on the basis of selection criteria. These are described in section 4.1 of the guidelines and are as follows
- The project must demonstrate a sufficiently high degree of innovation,
- Contribution of the project to the following objectives: Number of planned new jobs and economic potential through increased sales after the end of the project,
- Contribution of the project to the objectives of sustainable development, equality, non-discrimination,
- Contribution of the project to climate protection and adaptation to climate change.
The WTSH checks the application and requests any missing documents or information. Once a complete application has been submitted, the WTSH will decide whether to approve the funding.
An application can be submitted at any time. The application must be submitted before the start of the project. The project may not be started without approval.
The beneficiaries are bound to fulfill the conditions associated with the funding and the purpose of the grant for a certain period of time (earmarking). The earmarking period is up to five years, depending on the type and design of the respective project, and is specified in the grant notification.
The grant must be reimbursed if the company or the Schleswig-Holstein business establishment is closed down or relocated out of Schleswig-Holstein within the earmarking period (location commitment).
