The Schleswig-Holstein further training bonus subsidizes part of the seminar costs of job-related further and continuing training for people in employment in Schleswig-Holstein.

The Schleswig-Holstein continuing education bonus grants a flat rate of 40 percent of the total eligible costs up to a maximum amount of EUR 1,500 per applicant or grant recipient per calendar year. The employer must contribute 60 percent of the total eligible costs.

• Your place of work is in Schleswig-Holstein.
• You are not a civil servant in a public authority (federal, state, municipal), in a public institution or in an office.
• You are not an employee of a public authority (federal, state or local), a public law institution or a public office.
• You are not an employee of a religious community (except church).
• You are not an employee of a transfer company.
• You are not an employee of a further education provider or the further education institution carrying out the further education measure.
• You are not a trainee.
• You are not self-employed.
• You are not registered as unemployed with the Employment Agency.
• Your continuing education program comprises no less than 16 hours (including pedagogical breaks).

You can apply for the Schleswig-Holstein continuing education bonus online:

• You submit your application using your Service Account Plus, for which you need the online ID function of your ID card, via the service portal of the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The application must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of further training.
• The Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein will check your application and decide whether you can be granted a further training bonus.
• Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein will approve your application or, due to the short notice of the start of the further training, will initially approve the early start of the measure. Approval for the early start of the measure does not result in a legal entitlement to funding. Further training may not begin without a grant notification or approval for the early start of the measure, otherwise funding is excluded.
• If funding is approved, the funds will be paid out after completion of the training, submission of all necessary documents and completion of the verification of use.
