If you are unable to take a fishing license test due to a disability, you can apply for a special permit.

You can apply to the higher fishing authority for an exemption from the fishing license requirement if you are unable to take a fishing license test due to a disability.
The permit allows you to fish with a hand-held fishing rod accompanied by an adult holder of a valid fishing license. The exemption can be granted for an indefinite period of time. Exemptions from the fishing licence requirement issued under comparable conditions in another federal state are recognized in Schleswig-Holstein.

• Severely disabled person's pass (copy front and back)
• If applicable, a medical certificate stating that the fishing license test cannot be taken due to the severe disability

• Minimum age: from the age of 12
• Authorization from the applicant, if applicable
• The requirement as to whether the respective severe disability prevents the applicant from taking a fishing license test must be checked.

• You receive an exemption permit by post
• You pay the fees for the fishing tax

The validity of the exemption is andependent on the time limit on the disabled person's ID card.
