- proof of identity,

- proof of further training and certificates of professional practice,
- a written declaration as to whether recognition of the further training certificates has already been or will be applied for from another medical association.
- Possibly certificates of conformity or proof of activity over the last five years,
- any additional evidence required to verify equivalence,
The required certificates must be submitted as certified copies, translated into German if necessary. Further documents may be required.
Recognition of your further training qualification is only possible if you already have a valid license to practice medicine in Germany or a professional license plus proof of an equivalent level of training in accordance with the Federal Medical Practitioners' Regulations (BÄO).
You must be personally and medically fit for this.
You must provide proof of your German language skills when your professional license/approbation is issued. Your German language skills will not be checked again for the recognition of the further training qualification.
A fee is charged for the recognition of the continuing education designation, which may vary depending on the necessary verification procedure.

The equivalence of your specialist qualification is given if the content of the further training does not differ significantly from the content specified by the Medical Association in the further training regulations.
You will receive a decision on your recognition no later than three (proof from EU countries) or four (third countries) months after receipt of the complete documents.
