§ Section 25 (4) of the Driving License Ordinance (FeV)

A file card transcript is an overview of your driving license categories issued by the issuing authority.

If you already have an EU card driving license, youdo notneed a transcript of the index card. In this case, your data is already stored in the central driving license register of the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Flensburg.

Youonly need a transcript of the index card if you still have a paper driving license (grey or pink) that hasnotbeen issued or already recorded by your current driving license authority.

The following data is required for the application:

• Surname
• First name(s) (as on the identity card)
• Name at birth
• Date of birth
• Current address
• Driving license number or form number (if available)

Please provide the contact details and full address of the foreign driving license authority if you wish to have it sent directly to your current driving license authority. Otherwise, the copy of the index card will be sent to your address.

No documents need to be submitted.

Applying for a file card transcript is free of charge.

Please contact the driving license office that originally issued the driving license for a copy of the index card.
