The public health service advises and monitors facilities with regard to compliance with hygiene regulations.

In shared facilities, such as retirement and nursing homes, day care centers or schools, it is necessary to ensure that personal hygiene can be maintained in order to protect against infection.
Hospitals, doctors' surgeries and outpatient surgery facilities also have very specific infection hygiene requirements.

The public health service advises and monitors such facilities with regard to compliance with hygiene regulations. In addition, information about inadequate hygiene conditions in public places, e.g. playgrounds or parks, is investigated.
