The topic of Further and advanced training is omnipresent and represents an important opportunity to stand out from the competition. If you dare to take the step into self-employment, certain further training courses are also essential. The Saarland Chamber of Crafts fully supports employers and employees on their professional path.

Regardless of whether you want to prepare intensively for your journeyman's examination or are already working and aiming for a master craftsman's or technician's qualification, the Saarland Chamber of Skilled Crafts offers suitable further and advanced training for every target group. The courses on offer not only cover topics specific to the skilled trades, but also impart knowledge in the areas of IT, personal development and support for business start-ups.

The documents and materials required depend on the type of further training. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts will be happy to help you with this.

In some cases, certain prior knowledge is required for participation in further training courses. Most of our subject-specific individual courses have no registration requirements.

• Journeyman preparation courses: no prerequisites
• Master craftsman courses: completed vocational training in a skilled trade
• Technician courses: completed vocational training in a skilled trade and at least one year of relevant professional experience

The fees depend on the type and scope of the course.

By taking advantage of the funding program - Competence through Further Training (KdW) - the course fee for many further training courses can be reduced by 40%. Participation in various further training courses can also be subsidized by the state through the Meister-BAföG.

In order to participate in a training course, the requirements of the respective event must first be met. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts will assist you with the admission requirements.

Registration and further processing are also centralized via the Chamber of Skilled Crafts.

After completing the training and, if applicable, successfully passing the examination, you will receive your certificate.

You can apply for financial support during your further training. The Chamber of Crafts will be happy to inform you about the Competence through Further Training (KdW) funding program, the Aufstiegs-BaföG and the education premium.
