If you have your own practice or branch or are a public body and already offer vaccinations and would also like to include yellow fever vaccination in your catalogue, it is necessary to submit an application for approval as a yellow fever vaccination centre.
- Proof of additional qualification in tropical medicine or basic qualification in travel medicine or clinical work
- Proof of institutional character (nomination of deputy(s))
- notarised copy of the licence to practise medicine
- Proof of participation in further training
- Confirmation that further training courses will continue to be attended
- Confirmation that appropriate premises and facilities are available for vaccination
- Confirmation that the vaccine is stored in accordance with the regulations (+2 °C to +8 °C) and that the technical information and instructions for use are observed.
The applicant must:
- have an additional qualification in tropical medicine or a basic qualification in travel medicine or clinical work,
- have one or more representations,
- be a registered doctor,
- have attended regular training courses and continue to do so (in the field of vaccinology and travel immunisation),
- have appropriate premises and facilities for vaccination,
- have appropriate cooling facilities for the vaccine
from EUR 200.00 to EUR 350.00
Note: Counties and independent cities are exempt from fees in accordance with the Saxon Administrative Costs Act.
- You apply in writing to the competent authority for authorisation as a yellow fever vaccination centre.
- The competent authority will check the application received and contact you if further information/clarification is required.
- Once all documents have been checked and all authorisation criteria have been met, an appointment will be made with you for an inspection of your vaccination centre together with the State Examination Office for Health and Veterinary Affairs and the responsible health authority.
- If all requirements are met after the inspection, the competent authority will issue you with the notification as an authorised yellow fever vaccination centre.

Evidence of further training submitted must not be older than 2 years.
After authorisation, new training certificates must be submitted every 3 years.
