Outside of school use, sports clubs and other organised sportspeople can arrange their own training/competition and event times for public sports and pool facilities. The sports facility administration of the public organisation allocates regular times and dates of use on application.

There is no entitlement to a specific sports or pool facility and a specific time of use. Allocation is based on priority; use can be cancelled if there is an important reason. The legal basis for the use of sports and pool facilities is the Saxon municipal code and the district code for the Free State of Saxony as well as the respective municipal statutes and guidelines.

To promote club sports, public sports facility providers often grant recognised non-profit sports clubs discounted usage fees.

Note: Usage times at municipal sports facilities that are leased to sports clubs are allocated by the clubs themselves. The municipal sports facility administration can provide contacts on request.

• Confirmation of membership of the Landessportbund or Kreissportbund

If necessary, the responsible department will request further documents.

Exercise of sporting activities in sports facilities run by local authorities (public corporations, municipal authorities, municipal enterprises)

Eligible applicants

• primarily all sports organisations (sports clubs) recognised as eligible for funding, represented by the board (§ 26 BGB)
• Subordinately "other users", e.g. child and youth work facilities, etc.

Preference is generally given to sports organisations from the respective city, municipality or district.

Depending on local regulations, you can apply for the use of sports facilities using a form, an informal letter or online via Amt24. For more information on the use of sports facilities and the allocation procedure, please contact the respective sports facility administration.

Online Application

• Set up a service account in Amt24 and use it to log in to the service portal. Have electronic copies of any documents you may need for the application ready.
• Follow the link to the online application and fill in the data fields according to the instructions. You can save the information at any time and complete it at a later date.
• Once you have filled in all the data fields, complete the application and the data will be sent to the department responsible.
• You will find the application confirmation in the inbox of your service account, which is used to exchange information about the procedure. You will receive a notification of incoming messages to your personal e-mail address.

Allocation of Training Times / Utilisation Contract

The sports facility administration will check your application and decide on the allocation of training times according to available capacity. You will be informed of the result in writing; if you apply online, you will receive feedback in the mailbox of your service account. The operator will conclude a written contract with you regarding the utilisation.

• for regularly recurring use: Allocation of training times frequently for annual or half-year periods (e.g. before the end of the school year for the following school year)
• for occasional use: apply as early as possible (generally at least 4 weeks before the desired use)
