If you require a certificate of competence to carry out fumigation, you can apply for this from the competent authority.

Once you have submitted your application, the competent authority will check it and then contact you. If your application is successful, the certificate of competence will be sent to you by post.

The licence is valid for a maximum of six years. The period of validity can be extended by six years at a time.

The prerequisite for extending the period of validity of the certificate of competence is a recognised further training course before the expiry of the period of validity.

• Proof of suitable vocational training or comparable professional qualification
• Certificate from a doctor in accordance with Section 7 (1) of the Ordinance on Occupational Health Care (not older than one year)
• Proof of specific expertise associated with the activity (through successful participation in an expertise course recognised by the competent authority; proof of expertise for fumigation)
• Official certificate of good conduct according to document type O
• Certificate of instruction on the safe and proper operation of fumigation equipment or systems and on participation in fumigation/fumigation.
• In the case of fumigation in accordance with TRGS 512 or TRGS 522, proof of first aider training is also required.

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Required reliability
• Language skills for the safe exercise of the activity

between EUR 70.00 and EUR 380.00

• You must apply for a licence in writing to the competent authority.
• You submit the required documents to the competent authority.
• The competent authority will check your documents and give you feedback.

The permit must be applied for before fumigation is carried out for the first time.

In order to be able to carry out fumigation, a permit is required, which the Saxony State Directorate can issue on application.
The employer must notify the Saxony State Directorate of fumigation at least one week before it is carried out.

The legal remedy will be communicated in the notification.
