Compensation for continued payment of wages or loss of earnings due to deployment with the volunteer fire brigade in accordance with § 62 Law on Fire Protection, Rescue Services and Disaster Control (SächsBRKG)
If one of your employees is involved in the volunteer fire brigade, you as a private employer can apply to the city or municipality for reimbursement of wage costs in the event of deployment. During the deployment, the volunteers are released from work and continue to receive their salary as usual. This applies to ordered deployments, exercises, training courses and other training events.
If you are self-employed, you will also receive compensation on application for the loss of earnings you have incurred as a result of the deployment, exercise or training and further education.
In the case of officially ordered deployments, exercises and basic and advanced training measures, the ordering authority will pay the wage compensation.
