Determining the suitability of a training centre for vocational training in accordance with Section 27 of the Vocational Training Act (BBiG)
If you would like to provide training in your company, the competent authority, for example the Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK), will advise and support you.
If your company wants to provide training for the first time, the suitability will be checked on site. The training advisors will also inform all those involved in the vocational training programme about the content requirements of dual vocational training.
If your company is unable to provide the required vocational skills, knowledge and abilities in full on site, you may be able to compensate for this with training measures outside the company. Even after the initial assessment, the counsellors regularly visit the companies and business premises in their region to support and advise you on proper training.
Note: Depending on the region, one of the offices of the Industrie- und Handelskammern (IHK) in Saxony is responsible for the aptitude test.
- As specified by the competent body.
- Further information can be found on the homepage of the responsible office or can be obtained from the training counselling service there.
- Your company has all the necessary facilities to ensure complete training.
- The number of trainees is proportionate to the number of skilled workers employed who are qualified trainers.
If you, as a company, wish to provide training for the first time or in a new occupation, you should contact the relevant office as early as possible.
- The counsellor will arrange an appointment with you for an initial consultation.
- A detailed counselling interview is then usually held at your training centre.
- If the counsellor determines that further interviews, site visits, documents or evidence are required, a second appointment will be arranged with you as soon as possible.
- Alternatively, the counsellor can also decide that further communication will take place in written or electronic form, or via telephone.
- Once all open questions have been clarified from both your and from the counsellor's point of view, the procedure is completed.
- If the consultant determines that training cannot be provided in your company or can only be provided under certain conditions, you will receive a corresponding notification from the chamber.
Once it has been determined that your company is suitable for training, you are authorised to hire and train apprentices.
- The procedure usually takes between three and 30 days.
- If the consultant requires additional on-site visits, documents or evidence from the company to clarify questions, the time is extended accordingly.
