- § 4 Ausbildereignungsverordnung (AEVO)
Proof of aptitude as a trainer in accordance with Section 4 of the Ausbildereignungsverordnung (AEVO)
With the trainer aptitude test, you prove that you are suitable to carry out the vocational training of trainees.
Instructor aptitude is indispensable in in-company and further training and is an important additional qualification in many areas of companies. It is one component of numerous further training qualifications. You demonstrate this aptitude in an examination.
The examination consists of a written and a practical part:
- In the written part of the exam, you must complete case-related tasks from all fields of activity. The written exam usually lasts three hours. One examination set consists of around 70 tasks. This part of the exam usually takes place as a PC exam.
- In the practical part of the exam, you have to work through a typical training situation in a role play or presentation and then explain your approach in a technical discussion.
The examination is passed if each part of the examination is graded as at least "ausreichend". A failed examination can be repeated twice within an examination procedure. A passed part of the examination can be credited.
Note: The examinations take place on fixed dates at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce responsible for you.
Tip: You should prepare well for the exam - for example by attending preparation courses offered by private providers. However, this is not a legal requirement for registering for the exam.
The examinations are subject to a fee based on the fee schedule of the respective competent body. They can be viewed on the homepage of the respective office.
You register for the examination in accordance with the requirements of the relevant competent body.
- You will receive an invitation to the examination. The invitation serves as confirmation of admission.
- Late registration for the examination is generally subject to an additional administrative surcharge in line with the fee tariff.
- On the day of the examination, you must identify yourself using the invitation and an ID.
- As a rule, the practical part of the examination is taken after the written part of the examination.
- Once you have passed the overall examination, you will receive a certificate.
